WELCOME
Work began on our water garden in 1994 and on the CCTCR in 1998. Presently the project is "resting", although refurbishment and maintenance is now taking place after a break of about 2 years. Many of the photos on this site are from the CCTCR's first "Glory Years" 1999-2000.

The railway celebrates the always underfunded and never finished Dorrigo line in New South Wales. The CCTCR and the Dorrigo Line have a lot in common! Although there is no attempt to recreate a specific portion of the line, hopefully one day we might capture something of the atmosphere of those days of long ago.

At right, the track has just been cleared at Cascade where one of the line's small guards vans stood in the open until recently.

As noted elsewhere in this web site, several LGB, Aristocraft and Bachman products have been left out in the open since purchased in an effort to test their suitability for the job and each has passed the test with flying colours

Elsewhere on our site, our collection of photos is growing as I continue to travel to different places.

Many of these photos are not necessarily professional quality but hopefully capture something of the railways of the countries through which we pass from time to time.

There are also several collections of older photos of the NSWGR which may interest some.

Owning and operating a Garden Railway is a wonderful pastime. For me the last couple of years have been hugely busy and I have had to forego the pleasure in the short term - but the the great thing is, that now the railway is built, even just sitting in the garden as a non functioning railway, it adds to the pleasure of the garden.

And of course, as life settles again as it inevitably will, I can always come back to the railway and take up where I left off.

My thanks to the many people who email us regularly - it is always great to hear from other Garden Railway fans!
